Abstract

We study the propagation of kink-type similaritons in a tapered graded-index waveguide in the presence of Raman term. We have analyzed the effect of Raman term on the intensity of kink similaritons. Further, employing the isospectral Hamiltonian approach, we have shown the existence of wide class of tapering profiles and thus enabling us to control the structure and dynamical behavior of similaritons.
