Achromatic vortex from interference of Gaussian beams

Abstract

We explore the possibility of generating a single-charge vortex from the interference of polychromatic Gaussian beam. Entire range of visible wavelengths is shown to satisfy the condition for vortex generation to achieve a white-light vortex.
