IR Light Induced Photo-Mechanical Actuation of Tellurium Thin Films with Possible Applications in Signal Modulation

Abstract

The opto-mechanical response of tellurium thin films has been investigated using a novel method using fiber Bragg gratings. Upon irradiation with IR, these films show reversible actuation which finds possible applications in the field of signal modulation.
