Simultaneously occurring Spectral and Temporal Rogue Waves in a Passively Mode-locked Fiber Laser

Abstract

We present experimental evidence for the simultaneous existence of rogue waves in spectral and temporal domains in a passively mode locked fiber laser. Temporal rogue waves are shown to be generated by nonlinear soliton collisions.
