Asymmetric Diffraction Gratings for Color Shifting Structures

Abstract

Novel asymmetric diffraction grating based color shifting tags for security threads are explored. Simulations using optimized gratings show reddish yellow at normal viewing angle and light blue/light yellow at glancing angles.
