Dual Tapered Photonic Crystal Fiber Based Curvature and Temperature Sensor

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate a dual tapered solid core photonic crystal fiber (SCPCF) based modal interferometer for curvature and temperature measurement. The compact interferometer shows curvature and temperature sensitivity of 7.82 dB/m−1 and 42 pm/°C respectively.
