Performance of β-BaB2O4 and BiB3O6 as an intra-cavity frequency-doubling element in singly-resonant optical parametric oscillators

Abstract

We report generation of red-radiation continuously-tunable in 753 – 780 nm with an average-power 1 W and 1.9 W by replacing intra-cavity frequency-doubling crystal β-BaB2O4 with BiB3O6 in MgO:PPLN based optical-parametric-oscillator.
