Photon Correlations in Two-Mode Cavity QED

Abstract

Photon correlation functions are presented for two-mode cavity QED with orthogonal, linearly-polarized cavity modes. The full atomic level structure is treated for an F = 3 to F′ = 4 transition. An extremely long correlation time is identified and explained.
