Abstract
Biexcitons, bound states of two excitons, have been intensively studied in CuCl. So far experiments were done using nanosecond pulse lasers in a frequency region and strong low-repetition-rate picosecond pulse lasers in the temporal region. Recently, using shorter and weaker light pulses we obtained quite different results from previous reports1–3; the biexciton lifetime is 30 ps, during which no momentum relaxation occurs at 4.2 K.
