Abstract
Second-harmonic (SH) generation in optical fibers was observed1 and has been extensively studied recently.2-5 In this study we demonstrate the possibility of two holograms recording in the same fiber and the depolarization-fiber influence on recorded information. We used a mode-locked, Q-switched Nd:YAG laser and a silica fiber with 8-µm core diameter, which contained two modes for λ = 1.06 µm and a few modes for λ = 0.53 µm.
