Abstract

Recently, we pointed out the feasibility of quantum frequency conversion, a process by which it is possible to convert one beam of light into another of a different frequency while preserving the quantum state.1 In this paper we report on the measurement of quantum noise in an experiment which is capable of quantum frequency conversion. In particular, we measure quantum noises on light beams undergoing difference frequency generation.
