Abstract
We have carried out a wide range of numerical experiments on atomic light scattering in very strong optical fields. We will present the results of selected experiments and will discuss briefly issues such as evidence for the breakdown of conventional susceptibility theory, the relation of high-order harmonics (n > 15) in photon spectra to many discrete peaks in above-threshold photoelectron spectra, and the role of the dipole correlation function in spectra of line radiation and harmonics.
