Abstract
We calculate the linear-and nonlinear-optical coefficients of GaAs by the standard formula with the single-particle electronic energy and wave function calculated with the fully self-consistent pseudofunction method. We divide the Brillouin zone into tetrahedrons. A mesh of 89 points was chosen for 1/48 of the Brillouin zone, and a linear interpolation scheme was used to calculate the coefficients in each of the tetrahedrons.
