Abstract

Recent work has focused on possible experimental observation of the quantum electrodynamic effect of photon-photon scattering, which results from the interaction of light with virtual electron-positron pairs. One recently proposed manifestation of this effect is second-harmonic generation (5HG) in a magnetic field.1
