Abstract
Two years ago it was pointed out1 that a nonlinear optical window, whose refractive index is changing rapidly with time, appears to an observer to be a window' into an accelerating world. The resulting frequency chirps in transmitted electromagnetic waves are, of course, commonplace in nonlinear optics.
