Abstract

Previously, we have introduced the intracavity antiresonant Fabry-Perot saturable absorber (A-FPSA), which is the first passive intracavity modelocker which both starts and sustains stable modelocking without self-Q-switching of a cw-pumped Nd:YLF1 and Nd:YAG2 laser, producing pulses as short as 2.8 and 7ps, respectively.
