Abstract
A comprehensive study into the third-order nonlinear properties of several polydiacetylenes (PDA’s) has been undertaken. An important part of the investigation was the study of the nonlinear response in the single-crystal form of PDA’s, which are known to possess high third-order nonlinear susceptibilities.1
