Abstract

The mechanisms for the formation of protonated ammonia cluster ions have been studied with the femtosecond pump-probe technique. The results show that an absorption-ionization-dissociation mechanism is operative in the C′ state; while both absorption-ionization-dissociation and absorption-dissociation-ionization mechanism are responsible in the à state.
