Abstract
We have developed a sensitive method that exploits the unique stability of the K.L.M. Ti:sapphire laser to time-resolve all the relevant contributions to the third-order optical susceptibilities. We set up an improved Mach-Zehnder interferometer and obtained the time dependence of the nonlinear response of different samples involving electronic or nuclear characteristics.1
