Abstract

Most organic molecules and other materials investigated to date follow variations on the paradigmatic paranitroaniline blueprint,1 leading to a generally significant dipole moment along a quasi 1-D intramolecular charge-transfer axis. Some of the inherent drawbacks that, may curtail the higher nonlinearities of such classical systems are the following.
