Abstract

Since the first report of narrow linewidth emission from an optically pumped solution consisting of high gain dye and nanoparticle scatterers,1 there have been a number of studies investigating the spectral, spatial and temporal characteristics of the narrow linewidth emission2,3 from these systems.2,3 These studies confirmed that the scatterers provide the requisite feedback necessary to initiate laser action in these media.4
