Abstract

The analysis of carrier relaxation in high-Tc superconductors leads to a deeper insight into the coupling mechanisms of the charge carriers. Time-resolved experiments are performed in a standard pump-probe setup with Ti:sapphire and colliding-pulse- mode-locked (CPM) dye lasers as sources for infrared and 620-nm-light pulses, respectively. The samples are 200-nm-thick HTSC films, dc sputtered or laser ablated on SrTiO3 substrates and with their c axes perpendicular to the substrate surface.
