Abstract

Multimode lasers are a fascinating field of investigation because of their various and complex dynamics. Among them, antiphase, or winner-takes-all, dynamics have recently received great attention.1 In this context, erbium-doped fiber lasers are of particular interest because of their large variety of dynamical behaviors: the cw or selfpulsing regime2 when operating around 1.55 μm and nT-periodic orbits and chaotic motion when operating simultaneously at 1.55 and 1.536 μm.3
