Abstract
It has been known that relaxations of a level damp a Rabi oscillation as a function of time and fluence of pumping laser.1,2 In this work we demonstrate that the phase diffusion3 of a single-mode laser also damps the Rabi oscillation as a function of fluence. The modulation depth and period of Rabi oscillation are affected by the phase diffusion so that it should be considered for more accurate measurement of a oscillator strength. As the Autler - Townes splitting4 is also stems from the Rabi oscillation, both the splitting and the dip are affected from phase diffusion.
