Abstract
Wide-gap II-VI heterostructures provide an excellent opportunity to examine the behavior of dense excitonic systems, with direct implications on blue-green semiconductor lasers. “Recently the role oí excitonic molecules in the formation of gain has been studied in the ZnCdSe1 and ZnSe2 quantum wells at cryogenic temperatures. The binary ZnSe QWs allows the investigation of molecules and excitonic interactions in a high density regime with exceptional spectral clarity; a regime where these transcend a normal perturbative regime.
