Abstract

There is a large interest in soliton generation in fiber modelocked lasers (see, e.g., Ref. 1). Several types of passively mode- locked lasers have been demonstrated, which include the Figure-of-eight laser and the polarization modelocked laser. However, the dynamics and stability of such lasers are still far from complete understanding. In our work we study the pulse propagation in modelocked laser with fast saturable absorption, using the model of quin tic Ginzburg - Landau equation
