Abstract
Recent studies of the ultrafast nonlinear optical response of semiconductors have demonstrated cxciton coherence in the negative time-delay signal from two-pulse time-integrated four-wave-mixing (TI-FWM) experiments.1,2 Some studies have investigated the polarization state of the emergent TI-FWM signal at a particular relative time-delay between the two incident pulses.3 Data front such experiments have been used to estimate the relative importance of the excitation-induced-dephasing (EID) and local-field correction (IFC) in GaAs-based quantum wells3 and coherent exciton interactions in ZnSe-based quantum wells.4
