Abstract
Quantum confined excitons in semiconductor microcavities have attracted great interest since the observation of normal-mode coupling1 as a counterpart to vacuum-field Rabi oscillations in atomic systems. Only recently the nonlinear saturation of exctonic normalmode coupling has been studied.2−4 In the following, we investigate the propagation of a single intense laser pulse through the semiconductor microcavity where the pulse is resonant with the is exciton
