Abstract

Nonlinear optical waveguide arrays (NOWAs) have attracted a considerable deal of interest because of their potential in future all-optical signal processing (see Refs. 1 and 2 and references therein). The dimensionless equations that govern the evolution of the envelopes of the electric field in NOWA are a set of linearly coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equations.
