Abstract

There is a strong interest in the use of quantum cascade lasers based on intersuhband transitions operating at room temperature in the mid-infrared for sensing applications. In some applications, for example spectroscopy of high pressure gases or liquids, one deals with absorption features that are quite broad, of the order of a few wavenumber.
