Atom wave interferometer for a Bose-Einstein condensate with Bragg diffraction

Abstract

We constructed a Mach-Zehnder interferometer for Bose-Einstein condensed Rubidium atoms using optical Bragg diffraction. An interference pattern of almost 100% visibility was obtained. This scheme permits novel studies of condensate phase properties.
