Abstract

Solitons can be bright or dark,1 temporal or spatial. Until now, several possibilities were observed (for a review see Ref. 2). Bi-dimensional spatial solitonic waves have also been reported (Ref. 3 and references therein). We present the first observation, to our knowledge, of a spatio-temporal soliton-like wave in a Kerr medium.
