Abstract

Interest in laser-induced long gap electrical discharges has grown in recent years.1−4 The longest gap, a cloud-to-ground discharge, has already been reported.4 Our research has focused on using an ultrashort pulse UV laser source to induce and guide electrical discharges.1,2
