Dynamical Control of Quantum Decay

Abstract

The inhibition or acceleration of the decay of an unstable state by its (sufficiently frequent) projective measurements (the quantum Zeno and anti-Zeno effects) have been analyzed recently1 for a broad class of processes, including spontaneous emission in open space.
