Abstract

Localized excitons in interface fluctuations of thin quantum wells (QW) currently attract considerable theoretical and experimental interest. The optical properties of excitons in these "natural" quantum dots are in several respects similar to those of isolated atoms, showing e.g. deltafunction like densities of states and comparably long dephasing times.
