Coherent Rayleigh-Brillouin scattering in polyatomic gases

Abstract

We present experimental data and a well matched theory of the coherent Rayleigh-Brillouin scattering line shape in polyatomic gases. Interactions between optical lattice and thermal gas molecules are discussed.
