Coherent Nonlinear Optical Response from Single GaAs Quantum Dot Trions

Abstract

Coherent nonlinear optical measurements on individual charged quantum dots show trion dipole dephasing rates comparable to single excitons with negligible contributions from pure dephasing. The results are a step towards full coherent optical control of single electron spins.
