Interaction of a light beam with light-induced photonic lattices

Abstract

We demonstrate experimentally that the interaction of a light beam with a 2D waveguide lattice induced by partially coherent soliton arrays leads to a host of new phenomena including lattice dislocation, lattice deformation, and creation of structures akin to optical polarons.
