Abstract
Based on the dynamical diffraction theory, we discuss a second harmonic generation with hard X-rays. We show that the multiple scattering effects lead to a generation of two coupled second harmonic waves propagating in the forward and scattering direction. The possibility to phase-match the process is shown. Modeling of a frequency doubling experiment suggests that harmonic signal should be measurable for X-ray pumping with ps-pulses of mJ energy.
