Abstract

Harmonic generation mechanisms are studied in the ultrafast (22 fs), relativistic regime (Iλ2~1018W/cm2). Analysis of the polarization and intensity dependence of the harmonics illustrates different mechanisms of harmonic production for odd and even harmonics.
