Photovoltaic Induced Instabilities for Contra-Directional Two-Beam Coupling in LiNbO3:Fe

Abstract

In LiNbO3:Fe, quasi-periodic instabilities are observed when recording photorefractive reflection gratings using a contra-directional two-beam coupling geometry. The mechanisms responsible for the noise and a technique used to eliminate these instabilities will be discussed.
