High dc voltage discharges induced using femtosecond terawatt laser-generated plasma filaments

Abstract

The characteristics of dc-voltage discharges, triggered using plasma filaments, along their propagation path were investigated and sonographic probing was carried out. The triggering and guiding of high dc-voltage discharges in a 1-m-long gap were demonstrated.
