Controlled spatiotemporal plasmon excitation of silver nanoparticles with chirped optical pulses

Abstract

Numerical studies of chirped optical pulses interacting with cone-shaped silver nanaoparticles are discussed. We show how localized excitations on the nanoparticles can be generated and controlled in a spatiotemporal manner and discuss a potential application.
