Superluminal light propagation through a diode-pumped Nd:YVO4 crystal

Abstract

The group velocity of optical pulse in an amplifier in the presence of population oscillations was studied both theoretically and experimentally. The superluminal propagation of harmonically modulated light was measured in a diode-pumped Nd:YVO4 crystal.
