Dependence of Multiple Fomentation on Beam Ellipticity

Abstract

We experimentally investigate the effects of beam ellipticity on multiple filamentation. For high ellipticities the beam breaks into bands and filaments as the power is increased, and numerical simulations are in qualitative agreement.
