Coherent Control of Predissociation of the Rb Dimer by Chirped Femtosecond Laser Pulses

Abstract

Coherent control of predissociation of the Rb dimer in 8x10"3 Torr of Rb vapor is achieved with chirped femtosecond laser pulses. The preferred dissociation channels for different values of pulse chirp are found experimentally.
