Abstract

We study optical bistability associated with Fano resonances in high-Q/Vm silicon photonic crystal nanocavities through the nonlinear coupled-mode theory framework. The χ(3) effects, free-carrier dynamics, thermal effects, and linear losses are included and investigated numerically.
