Abstract

We have observed anti-Stokes Raman scattering of photoluminescence phonon replica in GaN heterostructures by non-equilibrium longitudinal-optical phonons. We demonstrate that such a process can be used to monitor the distribution of hot longitudinal-optical phonons.
