Electrostatic surface guiding of supersonic D2O molecular beam

Abstract

We demonstrate the electrostatic surface guiding of cold heavy-water (D2O) molecules by using a 2D hollow electrostatic field generated by the combination of two parallel charged-poles and a grounded metal-plate.
