Optical Isolators Based on Surface Magneto Plasmon Polaritons

Abstract

Strong nonreciprocal phase shift is attainable when plasmon polariton propagates on the interface between metal and magneto-optical material in presence of transverse magnetic field. This effect is a basis for short low loss nanoplasmonic isolators.
